On Fatherhood:

First of all, it means responsibility — that covers every area — providing, love, understanding, care and, most importantly, support.

Being there for them is important, but at the same time, you have to understand their thinking. Sometimes, they come to you at the wrong time, but I’ve learned that there’s never a wrong time. It comes down to sacrifice.

Father to: Tevin, Tyrese and Tiah-Nicole Brown

What’s the story behind your daughter’s name?

Tiah-Nicole Cleo Brown — my two sons’ names begin with ‘T’, as such I just wanted to continue the T trend. I fell in love with the name Tiah and I decided to add her mom’s Christian name, Nicole, and her pet name, Cleo, which resulted in a fabulous unique name.

What were your immediate thoughts at the birth of your child?

My thoughts were “wow, a girl! A Father’s Day gift for life!” She was born June 21, 2009 on Father’s Day.
