Gardening May 26— RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019
There are reasons aplenty to visit the UK this summer. Chief among them the Royal Horticultural Show (RHS), where the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has added her creative touch to a woodland wilderness garden. There is, too, theChrysanthemum “Archie Harrison” . The flower was cultivated for several months before the royal’s arrival on Monday, May 6, and was produced by Chrysanthemum Direct, the UK’s oldest chrysanthemum breeder. Manager Martyn Flint said: “We have been keeping our cultivar closely under wraps since the Duchess of Sussex announced her pregnancy last October.
And the Clematis Meghan…
Named for the Duchess of Sussex, ‘Meghan’ is an exquisite new large-flowering clematis that will usually offer two flowering seasons each year — the first being the most prolific in late spring or early summer (around the time of their wedding), but then again in early autumn. The flowers are a rich and opulent magenta-purple, so they will really make an impact when planted in borders or larger pots.
