‘Oney British’ shot dead on Mountain View Ave
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Mountain View Avenue, Kingston 3 last night.
Dead is 56-year-old Alphanso Harriot otherwise called ‘Oney British’, building contractor of Sunset Avenue, Kingston 8.
Reports from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) are that Harriot was driving his motor vehicle along the road about 9:00 pm when he was shot by men on a motorcycle who were armed with guns.
Harriot was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The gunmen escaped, the police said.
