How do you represent/give back or support your school?
I think one of the best ways that I represent Wolmer’s is by exhibiting the values and principles passed on to me by the school. We dream big, we work hard, and we are determined to achieve our goals. Most importantly, we recognise the importance of improving the well-being of those around us. Yup…is Wolmer’s why I’m trying to be superwoman. LOL
What is your most memorable Champs experience?
I was too young to travel by myself from Spanish Town to the Championships so I had to go with my sister on the St Jago bus. You can imagine sitting alone with the ‘Jago massive’ who were going wild in the stadium, as they dominated most of the races…and me cheering for Wolmer’s on top of my lungs? I had the time of my life!
How do you rate your school’s chances in this year’s championship?
Wolmer’s may not have a large number of competitors to rack up points for first place, but we are always able to produce quality performances in selected events. We have our sights focused on the ones we feel we can dominate. I’m hoping for a top three finish for the boys and at least a top four for the girls.
Who do you think will win and why?
Each year the level of competition remains at peak. Edwin Allen and Holmwood Technical have been very consistent over the years and it will probably come down to them on the girls’ side with Hydel and Wolmer’s finishing off. For the boys, it will come down to the line. KC is on a winning streak in other competitions and they are hungry for a win…but Calabar has always been good at working out the numbers needed to add up a victory. Wolmer’s at third is good for me, I leaving the first place fight alone. LOL
