#Champs2019: KC’s Plummer, Brown win Class 1&2 400m hurdle titles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College’s Romel Plummer and Jayden Brown won the boys’ Class One and two 400m hurdles titles, as the purples made a strong surge in their title bid at the 109th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships underway at the National Stadium.
Plummer, running out of lane eight showed impressive stamina to win in 50.43 ahead of Devontie Archer (51.20) of Excelsior and Jeremy Farr (51.41) of Wolmer’s Boys.
Earlier, Brown ran away from the field in the Class two event to win in 51.88, ahead of his fast-finishing teammate Rayon Campbell (52.85) with Tarrant’s Jeremy Bembridge (53.36s) winning his schools first ever Champs medal.
