ON HIS MARK
Clearly, Usain Bolt is building a lifestyle empire! The Olympian is now the brand ambassador for a range of electric scooters from Bolt Mobility, launched in the United States last Tuesday. The launch event took place on the steps of New York City Hall and attracted media from various online platforms and print publications.
Call it kismet or marketing savvy, but it just made sense for a company named Bolt to engage a celebrity with the same name. Bolt Mobility co-founder and co-CEO Dr Sarah Haynes said that the company wishes to alleviate congestion and the environmental impact of large-city traffic. The “Chariot” — a scooter model comes with two cup holders and can carry bags — is able to support a variety of body types including Bolt’s 6’5” frame.
