The Jonas Brothers are back!
After a failed reunion attempt some years ago, it seems the Jonas Brothers are rearing to go once more. Yes, the beloved band of three — straight out of our childhoods and the heart of Disney — is back with a vengeance. Re-making old videos, doing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden as well as making Late Night Show appearances all next week are only part of what the trio seems to have planned for their fans.
Yesterday, the Internet was abuzz when Kevin, Nick and Joe previewed a snippet of their upcoming music video for the song ‘Sucker’, which was released at midnight.
“#SuckerVideo is officially out! We really had the best time shooting this video in England with our family. Hope you guys love it. Feels good to be back,” they tweeted at 12:01 AM. Over six million fans have watched the video in its first fourteen hours online.
While celebrity culture junkies and hardcore Jonas Brothers fans had been whispering for a while about a possible reunion, the official news and the promise of new music so soon proved to be a pleasant surprise. Now the song just has to live up to the hype, and time will tell whether this reunion will fizz out after three or so new tracks like the last one. (I promise I’m not still bitter over the last reunion).
With careers in music lasting nearly 15 years and a host of accolades as solo artistes and as a band of three, we hope this time the Jonas Brothers will be here to stay — even as they take on the challenge of working together once more, as not only brothers but as adults, who are married with families.
