BCIC boosts Mt Alvernia High track & field team

As part of BCIC’s continued commitment to increasing the participation of and empowering females in sports, the company provided Mount Alvernia High School’s track & field team with new running shoes.

BCIC General Manager, Marketing Lori- Ann Glasgow said: “We are excited and proud to assist the Mt Alvernia track & field team by providing them with suitable running footwear. This is our first partnership year and we look forward to growing this amazing relationship as we help to shape the future of these young ladies in athletics, not only in Jamaica but the world.”

The Mt Alvernia High School track & field team has consistently turned in impressive performances by maintaining a spot in the top five girls’ teams ranking at the Digicel Grand Prix Athletics Championship 2018 and 2019, of which BCIC is also a sponsor. The all-girls team also placed 16th at the 2018 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
