Worthy-Donaldson heads Paymaster
LOCAL payment processing company, Paymaster (Jamaica) Ltd (PJL), has appointed Nicolene Worthy-Donaldson as its new general manager, effective January 3, 2019. She is Paymaster’s first woman general manager and leads an all-woman cast of senior managers.
Her responsibilities include spearheading growth, developing innovative customer support and product delivery solutions that enhance the customer service experience, and managing day-to-day operations.
“My goal is to ensure that we remain the ‘go-to’ multipayment place for our customers by ensuring that we understand how their needs are evolving and coming up with new, innovative and convenient ways to serve them,” said Worthy-Donaldson. “Taking the time to get their feedback is an important first step as we move to deliver an even higher level of service going forward.”
With considerable experience in consumer innovation, one of Worthy-Donaldson’s first tasks will be to introduce several innovative digital payment solutions and implement enhancements to its online portal which it expects will increase the frequency of online payments by its customers.
Ambassador Audrey Marks, founder of PJL spoke positively about the qualities the new general manager will be bringing to the organisation.
“I am always very pleased to see new expertise on the Paymaster team and Mrs Worthy-Donaldson’s professional history in distribution, sales and marketing, within both Telecoms and Financial Services, should augur well for continued growth and visibility of the company,” the ambassador stated.
Worthy-Donaldson joins PJL after spending 18 years in various positions at several firms including West Indies Trust Company, Samsung Electronics, Intcomex Jamaica, Digicel Jamaica, and most recently LASCO Financial Services where she served as marketing manager. There she successfully led a rebranding exercise, opened up key branch locations and developed a range of strategies to increase market share, product engagement and brand equity.
Worthy-Donaldson holds a master’s degree from the University of New Orleans as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
While keeping a strong focus on customer-centricity, Worthy-Donaldson is keen on enhancing staff welfare, building strong relationships with the company’s payment partners and increasing Paymaster’s involvement in corporate social responsibility initiatives.
