JUTC buses to benefit from Kleenoil filtration system
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Urban Transit Company’s (JUTC) fleet of buses are to benefit from the implementation of an oil filtration system, following Cabinet’s approval of a $251-million contract awarded to Elhydron Incorporated.
The deal is for the provision of materials, technical professional advice, and to perform all operations for the implementation of Phase 1 of the Elhydro Kleenoil Bypass Filter System for JUTC buses.
Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator Ruel Reid, made the announcement during a post-Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House yesterday.
The filter system, which enhances engine performance, is effective for internal combustion engines, hydraulic applications and automatic transmissions.
It is said that Kleenoil can eliminate water and particle contamination, extending oil life up to five times and hydraulic oil up to 10 times, reduce engine wear and component wear, and dramatically reduce downtime.
It is effective for vehicles utilised in industries such as construction, trucking, marine, mining, military, agriculture, automotive, and power generating.
