Four arrested in cocaine bust at NMIA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Four people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the seizure of 53 pounds of cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
The police said the drug, which is estimated to worth $26 million on the street, was removed from a shipment of ground provisions.
According to the lawmen, the cocaine was found hidden among the goods during a detailed check following a security screening of the shipment about 11:30 am.
The identities of the four people in police custody have not been released to the media.
