Paradise FC register first win in Sandals Division One
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Paradise FC scored their first victory in the St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Division One competition on Friday, outscoring promoted Bickersteth SC 4-2 at the UDC Field.
The win took Paradise FC to four points and second in the points table, two points behind Norwood Strikers, both from two games.
It was back-to-back losses to start the season for Bickersteth SC, however, as they also allowed four goals for the second-straight game.
Also on Friday, Sam Sharpe and Discipline FC drew 0-0 at the Granville Community Centre, the second draw for either team.
At the UDC Field, Chavaughn Duncan and Jevaughn Pinnock gave Paradise FC a 2-0 lead at half-time with goals in the 19th and 25th minutes, respectively.
Jordane Watson made it 3-0 in the 55th minute before Bickersteth SC made a mini comeback to cut the deficit to one goal with goals from Tristan Webber in the 65th minute and Sanjay Stewart in the 70th minute.
Shallawn Patrick scored in the 71st minute for Paradise FC, however, to give them a two-goal cushion that they protected to the end.
