UPDATE: Woman found in UWI pond identified as 69-y-o medical doctor
KINGSTON, Jamaica—The woman whose body was found this morning at the University of the West Indies, Mona has been identified as 69-year-old medical doctor Judith Rose-Spencer.
Her identity was confirmed by her daughter.
The body was discovered in a pond near the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre. The incident was reported at approximately 7:45 am.
The university, in a statement earlier today, said a preliminary assessment of the scene revealed that the body was fully clad and partially submerged.
The police said Spencer’s body was taken to the morgue where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
