Melbourne Mind Game edge Catherine Hall in St James Sandals Major League
ALBION, St James — Melbourne Mind Game won their second-straight game in the St James Football Association Sandals Resort International Major League on Thursday after edging Catherine Hall FC 1-0 in their Zone One game played at Albion.
It was the first loss for Catherine Hall as Melbourne Mind Game joined them and leaders Lilliput Rovers on six points at the top of the points’ table in Zone One.
Also on Thursday, Marl Road and MoBay City FC battled to an exciting 4-4 draw at the UDC Field, the third draw in succession for Marl Road, who had given up a 3-0 lead against Heights FC two weeks ago.
At Albion, Trevon Allen’s 67th minute goal gave Melbourne Mind Game back-to-back 1-0 wins after they had lost their opening game 0-3 at Lilliput Rovers.

At UDC field, Marl Road and MoBay City shared eight goals as Marl Road surrendered a 3-1 lead inside the first 25 minutes, despite the season’s first hat-trick from Shevon Smith.
Marl Road took the lead in the seventh minute when Smith shot them ahead but Brandon Curate levelled for MoBay City FC in the 18th minute.
Smith hit back with two goals in the 20th and 25th minutes however, completing his hat-trick and giving Marl Road a two-goal lead.
Ryan Baker pulled back a goal for MoBay City FC in the 30th minute as they went to the half-time break trailing by a goal, 2-3.
MoBay City took up the initiative in the second half and got goals from Chris Christian in the 65th to draw level at 3-3 and Kenrick Smith put them ahead 4-3 in the 90th minute.
Marl Road would have the final say, however, as Dalkeith McPherson scored in time added on to salvage a point for his team.
