Uncle Freddie and Dezzy The Genius raced off in front but the fast improving Garrincha raced into the lead 800 metres out and from there was driven to sustain the gallop and beat Brandy by just under two lengths.

Prominent on the far side Special Council had Cryptocurrency for company with Western Wheels the most forward on the grandstand side. Appreciating strong handling, Special Council quickened where it mattered to score by two lengths.

Dynamax Cat led Blusie and Dash Of Class to the top stretch before establishing a better advantage passing the distance. Confidently ridden Golden Eye was held up off the pace before producing a strong run to overtake and beat Dynamax Cat by eight lengths.

Jammin was restrained in third behind a fast pace set by A Seh Soup with District Attorney being hustled to strike the front turning for home. Having a clear run on the far rails Jammin went to the front at the distance and drew away to win by four lengths.

The front runners were spread across the width of the course with Nuclear Commander going best of the far side group. Royal Girl was first to fade leaving Jason’s Gold and Lady V to hold every chance on the near side. Nuclear Commander ran well inside the last 150 metres to land the major slice of the purse by just under two lengths. Nuclear Commander completed a double for the bang in form, Trevor Simpson.
