Cold front to bring more rain over the next two days
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A cold front is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to mainly northern parishes over the next two days.
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica this afternoon reported that the front, which is now west of Jamaica, is likely to become stationary in the vicinity of the island through Wednesday.
It said atmospheric conditions are therefore expected to become unstable this evening and continue through Wednesday.
Weather conditions should return to near normal as the front dissipates.
Fishers and other marine operators are being urged to exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Service said it will continue to monitor this system.
