In an Instagram post, the Jamaican-blooded model commented that oftentimes she doesn’t allow her natural hair to be used for shoots as she “is all about protecting my kinks and curls”. Across the Pond, a Jamaican play has taken London’s West End by storm! Nine Night written by Natasha Gordon is “the first play by a black British female playwright to make it into the West End”. Huzza! Born to Jamaican parents in North London, Gordon won the prestigious Charles Wintour Award for most promising playwright at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards on November 19. Nine Night débuted at the National Theatre in April of last year and due to its acclaim will enjoy a West End run until February 23.
