Footloose goes live with Cham
In a move to keep the Footloose retro party series fresh and innovative, promoters of the event Broadway Productions, are continuing the recently introduced live element aspect.
Next Saturday, dancehall deejay Cham (formerly Baby Cham) will take centre stage at at the Mas Camp in St Andrew.
“We like to surprise our patrons with the unexpected. The live performance as part of the proceedings is a way of keeping the brand fresh and our patrons happy,” said Tyrone Dixon of Broadway Productions.
Beenie Man, Merciless, and Sizzla are some of the acts who have performed at live editions of Footloose.
Said Dixon: “Patrons can expect great music and a top-class performance at this staging. We will be pulling out the stops to ensure that patrons have the time of their lives.”
Held three times annually, Footloose continues to draw strong support. Patrons with their thirst to relive the nostalgic memories of yesteryear, gravitate to the series with each staging.
Cham, who emerged on the scene in the mid-1990s, is known for a strong catalogue of hit songs including Boom, Gallong Yah Gal, Another Level (with Bounty Killer), and Funny Man (with Mr Easy).
He has scored Billboard chart success with songs such as Vitamin S and Ghetto Story.
