KINGSTON, Jamaica — A father whose newborn was this morning stolen from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston is pleading for help in recovering his child.
The baby boy was reportedly abducted about 5:00 am from a ward at the hospital.
Sinclair Hutton told OBSEVRER ONLINE that when his baby’s mother got up from her bed this morning, she noticed that she was bleeding. At the time, he said a woman was standing at the window.
“Her (the baby’s mother) blood drop on the floor and the person said ‘no man, me will take care of that’. So she went off to use the bathroom and when she come back, the only thing she see is the baby hat on the bed and the person missing,” Hutton said.
He is now appealing to anyone who can assist in locating the baby boy to come forward and assist.
“Mi just a ask anyone who know of anybody who lose a baby… and just have a next baby and you don’t know how dem come by the baby, I am begging you, please… just help,” Hutton pleaded.
This is the second baby abduction in the island in less than a week.
Last Friday, a woman abducted a three-week-old girl in the parking lot at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St James.
The baby was found two days later and the woman arrested.
