Mawga Don pleased with career
Mawga Don is pleased with the direction in which his career is heading.
The fast-rising singjay was one of several acts on GT Taylor’s Christmas Reggae Extravaganza held at Luana Sports Complex in St Elizabeth on Tuesday.
He held the audience’s attention with songs such as Scammer Look, Corrupt, Ups and Down and A Nuh Fe Yuh Alone.
“I had a great time performing at ‘Christmas Extravaganza’. I delivered an excellent performance. The audience loved it, they gave me a very warm reception. It’s a great look for my career going into the new year,” he said.
Mawga Don is currently making preparations for his annual dance, dubbed It A Happen, scheduled to take place on January 12, 2019 at the new plaza in Middle Quarters, St Elizabeth.
The event will feature popular DJs and sound systems, including Black Kolaz, Ruffcut, Big Pun, Jacks International, Ratty Bones, Fire Wayne, King Ghetto and Magnum Force.
“This is a year-to-year dance, and everyone in the parish is looking forward to it. I’m putting a lot of promotion behind it to make it a huge success once again,” said Mawga Don.
Mawga Don said he is also working on several new recordings which will be released in 2019.
