Regus launches office spaces in New Kingston
The Regus Jamaica Lounge held its official opening ceremony last night on the 9th Floor of the PanJam Building on Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston. Regus is known as the largest provider of flexible, workplace solutions in the world.
The new lounge claims to be the first of its kind in Jamaica, and is part of an international network across 120 countries and nearly 900 cities hosting almost 3,000 business centres. These business centres provide a variety of office formats for clients who can rent them temporarily to work in convenient locations at whatever time and for however long they choose at a range of price points.
Multi-billion-dollar corporations and individuals — including numerous successful entrepreneurs — make up the varied clientele of this global business. Regus also has growing mobile, virtual office, and workplace recovery businesses.
The keynote speaker at last night’s event was to be Daryl Vaz, Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation with responsibility for the Land, Environment, Climate Change and Investments.
The PanJam Building which is the home of the new Regus Jamaica Lounge, is owned by PanJam Investment Ltd. The investment holding company has invested in Jamaica for more than 50 years, and is among the largest publicly listed companies in the Caribbean. It provides property management services in the island, including rental, management and development of commercial real estate properties, and captive insurance.
PanJam takes actively managed positions in both public and private companies throughout the Caribbean, and also trades equities and fixed-income assets for its proprietary portfolio.
Regus was founded in Belgium 29 years ago in 1989. The global company is currently headquartered in Luxembourg and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
