Cardenas, Devon A Thomas suspended, fined

THE following disciplinary actions were taken by the stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission at their meeting on Tuesday last (November 6, 2018).

Jockey Devon A Thomas, who rode Big Paul in the seventh race on Saturday, October 13, 2018, was suspended for four race days and fined $10,000.00 for interference caused to Mrs Awesome in the vicinity of the 200-metre point. The suspension commences tomorrow, (Saturday November 10, 2018).

Jockey Dick Cardenas, who rode Necromancer in the 10th race on Saturday, October 6, 2018, was suspended for two racedays and fined $15,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to Reggae Road leaving the 800-metre point, which further resulted in interference to K J Express, Reigning King, Lala Diva, Madam Secretary, and A Seh Soup. Cardenas starts his on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
