Tru-Juice lends support to ISSA schoolboy football
The 2018 World Cup is over and the Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) Schoolboy football competition is just beginning, but the Tru-Juice brand has successfully linked the two.
During the World Cup which ran June 14-July 15, Tru-Juice supported the schoolboy football programme by donating $5 to ISSA for every 500ml and 1L Tru-Juice Tetra Pak purchased during this period.
The proceeds from this promotion amounted to $935,820, which was presented to ISSA at the launch of schoolboy football on Wednesday, August 22. This donation will go towards medical equipment, including stretchers and other supplies as requested by ISSA, to ensure that the programme is properly equipped to provide support to players in any medical circumstance.
“As we prepare these athletes for their sporting future, let us unite to provide ample resources so that they can perform to the best of their ability. Together we can build our “ballers today for a World Cup future tomorrow,” Lauren Mahfood, brand manager of Tru-Juice, stated.
“It is evident that there is great potential for these young athletes ,and by strengthening and contributing to the development of the ISSA schoolboy football programme, only positive results will be achieved. The Tru-Juice team expresses their sincere gratitude to all who supported this promotion to make this donation possible.
