Collymore retains lawyer but remains behind bars
OMAR “Best” Collymore, the man accused of orchestrating the alleged contract killing of his wife, has secured the services of veteran defence attorney Diane Jobson.
However, on Friday when he appeared in the Gun Court section of the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, he was further remanded and a new mention date scheduled for July 25.
Jobson, when contacted to provide further details about her client’s appearance in court, declined to comment.
Michael Adams and Dewayne Pink, who are jointly charged in the matter, were also remanded and will return to court on the same date.
Collymore, Adams and Pink are charged with two counts of murder in relation to the killing of 32-year-old Simone Campbell-Collymore and 36-year-old taxi operator Winston Watson on Stanley Terrace in Red Hills, St Andrew, on January 2 this year.
Collymore was captured at a guest house in St Elizabeth during an operation on February 8, two days after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
