#WC2018: Saudi Arabia’s team plane catches fire mid-air
ROSTOV, Russia — Saudi Arabia’s official team plane reportedly caught fire as the football squad headed to their next World Cup match in Rostov, Russia where they are to play Uruguay on Wednesday.
The Saudi Arabia Football Association in a statement assured that no one on-board the Russian Airline’s Airbus A319-100 was hurt and all were headed to their team hotel after the plane landed safely in Rostov.
The plane is reportedly 12 years old.
