Weather Update: Hazy conditions continue, small craft warning still in effect
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Metrological (Met) Service of Jamaica has reported that a high pressure ridge is expected to remain across the island until tonight.
Thereafter, a trough will become the significant feature.
A small craft warning remains in effect for offshore areas of the north coast and inshore and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong waves and rough seas.
Meanwhile, Met Service said a plume of Saharan dust continues to create hazy conditions across the island.
According to the forecast, this morning should be mainly sunny but hazy while, this afternoon should be partly cloudy and hazy with windy conditions along coastal areas of the island.
Tonight is expected to be mainly fair.
