Painted set to transform Negril into ‘Land of Imaginations’
NEGRIL, Westmoreland — Plans are in high gear for the eight staging of Painted, one of the most anticipated events in the resort town of Negril, which is set to unfold at Cayenne Beach on June 30.
Organisers, Blackgold Image Solutions, has dubbed this year’s episode of Painted as “The Land of Imaginations”.
‘There will be more rum, more paint, more water, more soca,” the organisers promised.
This year, Blackgold has again partnered with Charley’s JB Rum to provide patrons with access to more cocktail mixes from the title sponsor, which will be inclusive with the purchase of the general Painted tickets for $3,000 pre-sold.
According to Blackgold Image Solutions director Glenton Rowe, “this year’s Painted will be the greatest yet. Over 50 gallons of paint, including glitter paints; more than 5,000 gallons of water; a free glam bar, which includes free Henna tattoos and glitters; as well as the Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Kingdom, will be available at the event,” said Rowe.
He added that patrons in the VIP dry zone and the newly added sky cabanas will not be forgotten, stressing that they will be “one of the most luxurious and decked out VIP area and cabanas ever”.
DJ Kurt Riley, who will be banging the wheels of steel with non-stop soca and dancehall, along with Bloodline Franco, Miller Xtreme and DJ Smoke.
