Full slate as Domino KO Champs gets underway today
The 2018 National Association of Domino Bodies (NADB) Kingston and St Andrew Region Business House Knockout Championship begins today with a full slate of matches at the National Housing Trust (NHT) car park starting at 6:30 pm.
The games are scheduled for one hour, and the team leading at the end of that time will be declared the winner, or the first team to 80 points will win the match.
Defending champions Kingston Wharves will start their title defence against Ministry of Finance (MOF) in a match in which the champions should come out on top. Former champions Gleaner should also have an easy task when they go up against newcomers Jamaica Customs Agency, while the league’s champions, Campari, will have their hands full against Seprod in their first round of matches.
In other matches, it should be a walk in the park for Petrojam as they take on the lesser fancied Stewart’s Auto Parts; Urban Development Corporation (UDC), who have been struggling in the League so far this season, would want to find some kind of form against Kris An Charles; Wray & Nephew Limited face Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC); Digicel tackle Jamaica Observer; National Commerical Bank (NCB) go up against NHT; Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) should get the better of Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) and Sagicor Jamaica should run over the inexperienced General Accident.
In the League tournament last week, Kingston Wharves got the better of Campari 109-107; Wray & Nephew Limited defeated UDC 128-116; Jamaica Observer edged Petrojam 112-110; MOF whipped JUTC 128-84 and Seprod held off NCB 96-95 in Division One contest.
In the lower division, Digicel defeated Jamaica Customs Agency 123-112; NHT edged PAJ 118-115; Sagicor whipped General Accident 136-103; Kris An Charles dismantled Stewart’s Auto Parts 156-101, while Gleaner became the first team to reach maximum points when they destroyed BOJ 160-91.
