Vernon Douglas appointed JPS CFO
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPSco) has announced the appointment of Vernon Douglas to the position of chief financial officer (CFO), effective April 30, 2018.
The company said Douglas, who is a chartered accountant (FCCA) with over 15 years’ experience in countries across the Caribbean, Central America and Europe, has a consistent record of delivering results in business performance, helping companies to deliver corporate and operational growth via organic and inorganic methods.
JPS President & CEO, Emanuel DaRosa, said Douglas is a “purpose driven leader”.
“He has an impressive list of accomplishments throughout his career, which has focused on elevating organisations to higher levels of financial and operational performance,” said DaRosa.

Douglas will have overall responsibility for JPS’ finance portfolio, which includes: corporate finance, corporate accounting, logistics & inventory management, regulatory & strategy administration, and government and regulatory affairs.
