Kingston Wharves on fire in domino league
Former champions Kingston Wharves made it two wins in a row when they defeated sponsors Wray & Nephew Limited 138-119 in the second round of the Division One League in the 2018 National Association of Domino Bodies (NADB) Kingston & St Andrew Region/Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum Business House c ompetition last Friday.
Playing away, at 473 Spanish Town Road, the men from Kingston Wharves dominated the game from start to finish and at no point during the encounter the Wray & Nephew Limited team looked threatening to put up a fight.
Champions Campari made a winning start to their title defence when they whipped Division Two champions Ministry of Finance (MOF) 124-105 at 30 National Heroes’ Circle.
In other Division One results, Urban Development Corporation (UDC) went down 112-117 to Petrojam at home; National Commercial Bank (NCB) got the better of Jamaica Observer 112-102; and former champions Seprod defeated Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) 120-96.
In the lower division, Gleanerremained unbeaten after destroying Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) 149-109 at home at 7 North Street in Kingston; Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) were defeated by the unbeaten Sagicor Limited 125-122; National Housing Trust restored their damaged roof tops with a 124-88 whipping of Jamaica Customs Agency; Digicel defeated Stewart’s Auto Sales 120-112 for their second win; and Kris An Charles got the better of General Accident 128-98.
Round two gets under way today with matches across both divisions.
In Division One, Kingston Wharves should continue on the winning path when they welcome Petrojam at their King Port Building home; winless UDC will seek to change their fortunes when they travel to 40-42 1/2 Beechwood Avenue to face Jamaica Observer; MOF host Wray & Nephew Limited at 30 National Heroes Circle; JUTC are on the road to NCB at W&R Centre on 9-15 Phoenix Avenue, Kingston 10; and champions Campari entertain Seprod at 473 Spanish Town Road.
In Division Two, BOJ should get off the mark when they host General Accident at Nethersole Place; Sagicor Limited should make it three in a row as they welcome Stewart’s Auto Parts at 28-48 Barbados Avenune in Kingston; Jamaica Custom Agency travel to 2 Eureka Crescent in Kingston to face Kris An Charles; Gleaner host NHT in what should be a close battle at 7 North Street in Kingston, and at Water Lane, PAJ welcome Digicel.
All matches are scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
