UPDATE: $300m in counterfeit goods seized, six people arrested
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Six people have been taken into custody in relation to the seizure of an estimated $300 million worth of counterfeit goods on Princess Street in Kingston earlier today.
The disclosure was made a short while ago by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Members of Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC), who carried out the raid, arrested the six people for breaches of the Intellectual Property Rights Act.
