Too many behaving like stubborn donkeys
Dear Editor,
What can be more stubborn and stiff-necked than a donkey? We are behaving like a stubborn donkey by not heeding the call to save our lives and our country. Instead, we have been taking our own lives.
For example, we sit in public passenger Coaster buses and taxis and allow the drivers to gamble with our lives by driving madly on the streets. We just close our mouths and say nothing. But when they crash and kill our loved ones, we wail for the television cameras.
On the other hand, Christian women, senior citizens, and big, respectable women too, sit in buses and taxis, and allow rude and ill-mannered drivers and conductors to pepper passengers with all sorts of dirty music, without opening their mouths to say anything. Can you imagine? They should cry out to these brutes, as a person would cry out to a thief.
What happen to Jamaican women and young girls? Do they know that there is a limit to everything? Why won’t they open their lips and bawl out to these troublesome pests? And many of these women have children. No wonder some of them are afraid of their own children.
They are behaving like a stubborn mule — a stiff-necked donkey — by keeping their mouths closed.
Does it really make sense to talk about these things? It doesn’t seems so. It’s a waste of time and energy.
