JUTC suspends August Town service due to shooting
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) says due to recent shootings in August Town, St Andrew, its buses to the area will terminate at the University of the West Indies’ (UWI’s) Irving Hall, known as the UWI back gate.
“The JUTC has been forced once again to temporarily suspend its service in August Town, St Andrew as a result of violence/renewed shootings this morning,” the State-run bus company said on Twitter this morning.
It also urged commuters to be safe.
