Bring back the love football on today
The annual Bring Back the Love football match will this year feature Entertainers Invitational and Waterhouse Invitational takes place today, Easter Monday, at the Waterhouse Mini-Stadium.
Organiser and conceptualiser of the charity event, Clive ‘Busy’ Campbell, told the Jamaica Observer that three individuals, all from the Waterhouse community, will be honoured, while proceeds from the game will go towards a Basic School in Drewsland and two others yet to be identified.
Former Waterhouse player Freddy Perry; Yvonne Samuels, known as “Waterhouse Mother”; and diehardfan Damion “Pot Cover” Williams are the three honorees this year.
“Everything is all set and ready. The highlight is the honouring of the persons which is important,” said Campbell.
But with the community premier league team Waterhouse FC in action against Harbour View at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium at 8:35 pm, Campbell will be starting the fund-raiser at 4:30 pm.
“Waterhouse have a game at 8.30 pm at Harbour View, so we have to complete our game at 6:00 pm to give their fans enough time to go and support their team,” he noted.
Once again, spectators will be treated to football as the Entertainers Invitational play a Waterhouse Invitational.
Chris Martin, Jermaine Gonzales, Jah Mikes, Nomadz, Lukie D, Tony Curtis, Short Boss, coach Donovan Duckie, Marcel Gayle, Rudolph Speid, Chris Zaidie, Lincoln Taffe, David Laylor, Kevin “Pele” Wilson, Cornel Chin-Sue, Ian “Pepe” Goodison, Denton Shedden and Ralston Hyman will be in action.
Bring Back the Love will be the first in a three-game series this year, with the other two games set for Labour Day and Emancipation Day.

“We hope these games can help to prevent crime and bring back the love,” said Campbell.
