Weekly Round-up: Cabinet shuffled… St Catherine SOE extended… Antiguan football officials on ganja rap
KINGSTON, Jamaica — After two years in office, Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Tuesday shuffled his Cabinet, with the most significant changes being made to the security and finance portfolios.
The shuffle was met with mixed reviews, with the Opposition People’s National Party saying that it was less than hopeful that the move will bring about the change that the country needs.
In other news, there was outrage after news surfaced that incarcerated reggae singer Buju Banton will do his first concert four months upon his release from prison in Trinidad and Tobago.
And, two members of the management staff of the Antiguan national football team were arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport on Sunday after 3.6 pounds of ganja was found in a checked luggage.
