Deadly dispute between Manchester teens
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A 17-year-old boy has died as a result of injuries he received during a dispute with another teenager on Good Friday in Great House Drive, Manchester, the police have reported.
The dead boy has since been identified as Javanee Richards. The teenager accused of stabbing him is now in police custody.
Reports from the Mandeville Criminal Investigations Branch are that about 10:00 am, Javanee and the other male were involved in a dispute when a pair of scissors was brought into play and used to inflict a stab wound to his upper body.
The police were alerted and the injured boy was taken to hospital where he died whilst undergoing treatment.
The identity of the suspect is being withheld pending further investigations.
