Bogue assume lead in ATL Senior League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Bogue FC took over the lead in Zone One of the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League after a 4-0 drubbing of Paradise FC at the UDC field on Thursday.
Sanjay Patterson scored a hat-trick for Bogue FC, who improved to 12 points and leapfrogged Club Ville for the lead.
At the Granville Community Centre, Violet Kickers continued their upwards movement with a 2-0 win over Norwood Strikers to take over second place in Zone Two.
Patterson gave Bogue FC the lead at the UDC field in the 22nd minute and Neil Stevens added a second in the 30th, as they led 2-0 at half-time.
Patterson then returned late in the game to add his second and his team’s third in the 84th, and then completed the hat-trick in the 90th minute.
At Granville, Shavaughn Allen in the 33rd minute and Javed Walker in the 69th minute scored their third goals of the season for Violet Kickers as the former champions moved to 13 points, five behind leaders Cambridge FC, and two more than Fire House SC.
