Ready for GSAT
This year is the final year for the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT), and the excitement that usually comes along with the sitting of the examination is no different.
Students of the Linton Park All Age School in St Ann shared how they feel going into the examination, which takes place this week Thursday and Friday (March 22-23).
The Linton Park All Age students also shared how they prepared for GSAT exams and what schools they would like to attend. See their responses:
TYRIQUE CLARKE
I feel really confident. I am putting out my best effort, like doing all the home work the teacher gives and working as hard as possible in class. I would like to go to York Castle
ARLANDO DIEDRICK
I feel nervous, but I am confident. I would like to go to York Castle High. I have been studying at home, doing home work and doing my best in class.
RAYJAYE BRISSITT
I feel nervous but I know I will do well. I study at home, go through past papers at home, and play learning games. I would like to go Wolmer’s Boys’, but I chose Brown’s Town High as my first choice.
JESSICA TREASURE
I am nervous. I study and look back over past papers. I want to go to St Hilda’s High School.
KAYLA STANLEY
I am nervous going into GSAT. I pay attention in class and look over the past papers. I want to go to York Castle High School.
DANISH GORDON
I feel brave sometimes but, people let me feel nervous because sometimes they are saying ‘I hope that you pass for this school’, but I want to go to York Castle High School. I feel confident that I will pass for York Castle High School.
LISANDRA LINTON
I have confidence in myself and I tell myself that I can do it. I study hard, listen when the teacher is talking, and read and understand things. I want to go to York Castle.

I am nervous. I look over my books, go back through the past papers and read and put out my best effort in class. I also want to go to York Castle.
