More than 1000 rounds of assorted ammo found in Calvary Cemetery
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Kingston Western police seized more than 1000 rounds of assorted ammunition in the Calvary Cemetery in Kingston about 6:15 am today.
The police were reportedly conducting operations in the cemetery when three men were seen.
According to the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) the men ran as the officers approached, leaving behind a black knapsack which contained 132 12 gauge cartridges, 110 7.72 rounds, 91 3.08 rounds, 339 .38 rounds, 599 .44 cartridges, four magazines and a holster.
No arrest was made in relation to the seizure.
