Teacher accused of injuring student gets bail extension
Court Reports
A Corporate Area teacher accused of injuring a student had his bail extended when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
The court was told that the teacher used a piece of stick to hit the student in her face.
When the matter was called up, Parish Judge Vaughn Smith asked the complainant’s mother if she was minded to try mediation.
However, the mother told the prosecutor that she would have to consult with her attorney, given the fact that they are seeking a transfer.
A March 12 mention date was subsequently set for the complainant’s mother to inform her attorney.
