MYOD aims to carve niche on party scene
CHADWICK Smith is introducing a fresh take on the party scene with his upcoming event M Y O D (Mix Your Own Drink) scheduled for Sunday at Serengeti Bistro, Hope Zoo in St Andrew.
“Jamaican partygoers are always looking for something dynamic and new… This event will be the first of its kind and will be the biggest, epic social playground to start off the year,” Smith of promoters RRR (Real Rum Rockers) told Jamaica Observer.
According to the promoter, he and his team saw the need for such an event due to long waits at bars. M Y O D will allow patrons to mix their own drinks by the all-inclusive bar at no cost.
“There will be a mixologist present at the inclusive section of the bar to guide the patrons and to keep the crowd moving,” he said.
DJ Nicco will be providing the music for this inaugural event.
“So far, the buzz has been encouraging from the public — an indication that M Y O D is part of the future of Jamaica in the entertainment industry,” said Smith.
Smith has been involved with parties for the past five years, including Mai Tai and Rumbonxious.
