Pastor Alston Henry — the last Christmas hurrah
The Rev Dr Alston Henry, one of the most familiar faces in the Jamaican Christian ministry, participated in his final Christmas programme last week Sunday as head of Kingston Open Bible Church, Washington Boulevard, where he spent 38 of his 46 years as a soldier of the cross.
Dr Henry, well known for his role as one of the organisers of the National Prayer Breakfast, and his wife, Minister Enith Henry, spent some of those final hours with their favourite people, the children of the Sunday School.
