JFF selects 2 for CONCACAF programme
Two National Advanced Level II certified coaches and the director of football of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will participate in the CONCACAF Train the Trainers Regional Programme to be held tomorrow through to Friday in Barbados.
The JFF has selected Director of Football Wendell Downswell; National Grassroots Coordinator Andre Virtue, and National Under-15 Assistant Coach Davion Ferguson to attend.
“As part of our new initiative to improve development efforts in the region, this new opportunity will open the doors to top aspiring coaches within the member associations and provide advance learning opportunities,” stated the communiqué from CONCACAF.
The programme will consist of theoretical and practical sessions, providing insight to CONCACAF instructors on the potential of each aspiring coach. At the conclusion of the programme each participant will be evaluated and will be considered for a CONCACAF Instructor Certification. If obtained, the coach-educator will become a designated CONCACAF instructor and will be able to lead and deliver CONCACAF D and E Licence Courses.
