PHOTOS: Voter’s in Annotto Bay
ST MARY, Jamaica — Annotto Bay, one of the largest divisions in South East Mary was a sea of green and orange this morning as voters descended on the town.
According polling supervisor at the Annotto Bay All Age polling station, Lorraine Moore, Annotto Bay is home to eight polling divisions.
“There was a rush this morning when the polling station opened at 7:00 am and since then it has been very busy.”
Delra Morgan, returning office for the polling station added that she is expecting a larger turnout later on in the day.
“I don’t know if it’s because of the rainy weather or because Jamaicans have a tendency to come out last minute.
Meanwhile, one voter decked out in JLPs green commented, “Mi nuh have nothing fi seh except a my party a win.”
Another JLP supporter exclaimed “tomorrow we want a seat inna Parliament.”
In a contrasting comment, a PNP support said, “Me believe the PNP will be victorious today, we a the right people because JLP nah do nothing.”
Cassandra Carter, also a PNP supporter stated, “PNP has always been the progressive party. I don’t see what JLP been doing.”
Voters today will determine whether People’s National Party’s (PNP) Shane Alexis or Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Norman Dunn will serve them as a Member of Parliament.
