Selena Gomez may live in the spotlight but if you think you’ve got her all figured out you’re wrong.
The pop star and former Disney princess who has the most followers on Instagram, revealed today to her 126 million followers that over the Summer she had a kidney transplant.
In a series of three pictures and with a long caption she reiterated her commitment to honesty, transparency and vulnerability with her Selenators, and simultaneously thanked her friend Francia for donating her kidney to her.
Francia RaÃsa, slated to be a series regular in the upcoming Freeform Black-ish spin off Grown-ish, has been friends with Gomez for years.
With this post Gomez continues to call for attention and funding for Lupus (the chronic autoimmune disease she was diagnosed with a few years back) and Lupus treatment.
