Hurricane Max makes landfall in Mexico
MEXICO CITY, Mexico (AFP) — Hurricane Max made landfall in Mexico on Thursday, whipping its Pacific coast with winds of 130 kilometres (80 miles) per hour, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said.
The Category One storm hit the coast of southwestern Guerrero state and is expected to pour heavy rain on neighbouring Oaxaca, still suffering the effects of a massive earthquake last week.
