Kingston man arrested at NMIA on lottery scamming charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Kingston man, who the police say was found in possession of identity information of overseas residents, was yesterday arrested shortly after arriving at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston on a flight from Panama.
The accused, Ceon Adams, was being processed by a customs officer when the discovery was made, the police said in a release today.
The Director of the Jamaica Customs Agency reported the matter to the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), which resulted in Adams being arrested and the electronic devices in his possession being seized.
Adams will appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
