Foreign affairs ministry working to help Jamaicans in #Irma affected Caribbean islands
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade says that it is actively exploring with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) as well as with bilateral and international partners, options for assisting Jamaicans most adversely affected in the British Virgin Islands, in particular Tortola, Saint Maarten & Saint Martin.
The ministry in a statement said it is also keeping itself briefed on the ongoing relief activities in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The ministry is requesting that members of the Jamaican community and people in the affected territories with information about Jamaicans make contact with the ministry through the: Consular Affairs Department
