Ruffi-Ann rebounds
RUFFI-ANN is celebrating the positive reception to her latest single, Close to Your Enemy.
Close to Your Enemy was released in July on the My Sugar Pan production label. Since its release, the deejay said the feedback has been overwhelming.
“I’m happy with the progress of my new single. The fans have been responding from all over and I am grateful for the support from the radio DJs,” she told Jamaica Observer.
Once known as Lady Shabba, Ruff-Ann emerged on the music scene in the 1990s. She said despite facing many obstacles in her career and personal life, she is determined to keep going strong.
She recently performed at the Marcus Garvey Celebrations in Ocho Rios and gave a creditable account of herself.
Among the songs she performed were Save the Juvenile and Poor Caan Tek it No More.
“I had a great time performing at the Marcus celebrations. I’m happy I was invited by IRIE FM to honour our great national hero. Although my time on stage was short, the reception was very good,” Ruffi-Ann added.
