Suspected lottery scammer arrested in Trelawny

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A man was yesterday arrested for alleged lottery scam activities following police operations in Bounty Hall, Trelawny.

Detectives assigned to the Lottery Scam Task Force report that between the hours of 9:00 am, and 2:30 pm premises were searched and a cellular phone belonging to one of the male occupants analysed.

The phone was found to contain several names, addresses and telephone numbers of individuals suspected to be living overseas.

The man was subsequently arrested for reasonable suspicion for possession of identity information with intent; however his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
